... some paints arrived ... some bases and miniatures still in mail ...
I'm happy to announce that I finished the French side of my FPW project finally (after Y.E.A.R.S. of abandonment) the complete Bourbaki's Guard corps vs the Prussian v. Alvensleven's III corps plus the infamous v. Rheinbaben Cavalry corps (5th Division)! (Where ever I found, I used the parade uniforms for the more veteran units, especially in the Prussian side to make the whole lot not too uniform) :)
Terrain wise, I‘ve started on (smaller scaled) villages and will continue with woods and orchards and maybe another tinywargames mat ... or maybe later some French infantry re-inforcements ... who knows... but for now the forces seem to be an alright and interesting match while within the historic bounds ...

ReplyDeleteThank you Phil! Now all I have to do is develop my own homegrown rules! :)
DeleteGreat looking units and armies Michael. We'll look forward to them in action with those homegrown rules (or have you seen the posts on this blog? https://volleyandbayonet.wordpress.com/2020/03/07/advance-to-mulsanne-august-1870/)
ReplyDeleteThank you James! Yep indeed that looks like something I could try until my homegrown rules are actually grown, hahah!
DeleteCongratulations on the finished project! Now we have to wait to use them on the table (maybe this year) ;)
